SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 102

Congratulating the Martinsburg High School basketball team for
winning the state Class AAA championship.
Whereas, The Martinsburg High School basketball team
participated in the state championship play-offs and won the
Class AAA championship; and
Whereas, Although the Martinsburg High School basketball
team has participated in the state tournament in years past, this
is the first championship win for the Bulldogs; and
Whereas, Head coach Dave Rogers and the members of his
coaching staff take great pride in leading their team to victory;
and
Whereas, The athletic ability of the Martinsburg High School
basketball team, together with the outstanding sportsmanship of
each player and the enthusiastic support of the cheerleaders,
families and friends, helped to make winning the state Class AAA
championship a reality; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Martinsburg High School basketball team is hereby
congratulated for an outstanding basketball season and for
winning the state Class AAA basketball championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed toforward a copy of this resolution to head coach Dave Rogers and
the principal of Martinsburg High School, David R. Deuell.
